An alarm clock and timer app. Fold your phone and it becomes a clock.
Feature-complete and tested. Getting ready for a beta test and the App Store. Not available to download yet.
Twofold is an alarm, timer and daily-plan app made for iPhone Duo, Apple’s folding iPhone. Fold it like a laptop and it becomes a nightstand clock. Stand it like a tent and it becomes a kitchen timer you can read across the room.
My role: Product idea, design direction, testing and delivery. Built with an AI-assisted workflow: Claude Code for the code, Higgsfield for promotional pictures, video clips and music, HyperFrames for the trailer edit.
Highlights
It rings, even on Silent.
No AM/PM mix-ups: drag a sun around a 24-hour sky.
Every timer has its own picture, like Tea or Pasta.
Screens
“Did my alarm actually go off?”
A common complaint about alarm apps is simple: the alarm didn’t ring. Twofold is built to fix that first, and then to make time feel calm instead of stressful.
- It rings, even on Silent. Every alarm is a real system alarm, so it rings in Silent mode, in Focus, and when the app is closed.
- No AM/PM mix-ups. You set the time by dragging a sun around a 24-hour sky. Morning looks like morning.
- “Which timer was that?” Every timer has its own picture and color (Tea, Pasta, Egg), so you never mix them up.
Three more ways it helps.
- It tells you in plain words. “Tomorrow morning · rings in 7 h 12 min”, with a green “Rings on Silent” badge, or a red Fix button if something is wrong.
- Test it first. A test ring plays the real alarm in 5 seconds, so you know it’s loud enough.
- Hard to oversleep. Snooze is one big tap. A backup ring comes 5 minutes after you stop it, unless you tap “I’m up!”.
Simple enough for a child. Clear enough for a grandparent.
- Big touch targets
- Buttons are at least 60 points, so they are easy to hit, even half asleep.
- Large text works
- Screens re-arrange themselves at the biggest text sizes.
- Screen reader ready
- VoiceOver labels and high-contrast text on every main screen.
- Almost no settings
- Sensible defaults, few choices, and a friendly sun mascot named Tick.
Tested before launch.
- 27 automatic code checks
- 7 screen checks, including Apple’s accessibility check
- 12 one-tap picture timers
- ~1 week from idea to every feature done
Counts from the Twofold project brief (October 2026). Also checked: secrets scan, static code scan, Xcode analyzer, thread and memory sanitizers. No open findings.
